Events in states that border Iowa — Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota — add a flat $300. Beyond the border states, a flat $500. The number on this page is the number.
Deposit and payment
A $500 deposit reserves your date, due at signing. The balance is due 30 days before your event. One event per date, contracted — when your date is booked, it's yours alone.
Why you're seeing prices at all
Most DJs make you fill out a form to learn a number. That costs you time and tells you something about how the rest of the process will feel. Publishing the rate is respect for yours — and confidence in mine. Couples don't pay $2,500 for speakers; they pay for the certainty that the professional they vetted is the one running their night.

Is there a travel fee?
Travel anywhere in Iowa is included — no fee, ever. Border states are a flat +$300, and beyond that a flat +$500. No mileage math, no surprises on the invoice.
